Flap Door BOXN Wagon

Each side of the wagon is equipped with a flap door for efficient manual unloading. The doors are bottom-hinged and secured at the top with a chainless cotter locking mechanism. In our wagons, additional locking bolts are provided for each door to ensure enhanced safety and prevent the chainless cotter from slipping during tippling operations.

For loading and unloading, our BCNA wagons are designed with a two-part door system. The upper section features a two-part swing door (almirah-style), while the lower section includes a flap door that opens vertically downward and rests securely on the wagon sole bar when in the open position.

Cattle Guard for Locomotives

A cattle guard is installed at each end of the locomotive to protect under-slung equipment from impact with foreign objects. Additionally, it ensures the safety and durability of critical components during operation on tracks with potential obstructions.

Sand Box

A sandbox is a container commonly installed in locomotives and multiple units, designed to hold sand. The sand is released onto the rail in front of the driving wheels during wet or slippery conditions and on steep grades to enhance traction and ensure safe operation.

Transition duct and Ducting Assembly

In case of ACU failure, the loco switches to ventilation cooling. Fresh air is drawn through the condenser inlet, passed to the evaporator blower, and directed into the ducting system to cool the machine room.

Head Stock

The main underframe of a vehicle typically comprises two outer longitudinal members, known as sole bars, and two headstocks, reinforced by two middle longitudinal members and several cross members. Diagonals and gusset plates provide additional strength, preventing diagonal deflection and efficiently absorbing and distributing buffing loads across the structure.

Battery Box

Battery box is made of stainless steel with ROLLON telescopic rails. This will facilitate easy loading and un-loading of batteries. It will also facilitate easy top-up of batteries and other routine inspection. This improved design battery boxes are introduced on Locomotive, EMUs, MEMUs & DEMUs.
